Today we were eating our after church lunch at Subway when a nice older lady stepped up and complimented us on the behavior of our children and their appearance.

My wife asked her if she was ready for Christmas and she said hesitantly that she had just gotten out of the hospital.  I don’t know what she was in the hospital for but that made me think about the way the inside of the hospital is so different from the “outside” world.

After I spent 18 days in ICU and then was released from the hospital, I felt like I was in a “new world”.  Weird, true, but when I got out of the hospital, I felt like I was in a new place, and that everything was just great and different…
